The Addis Ababa Water and Sewerage Authority (AAWSA) is a government-owned entity responsible for providing water and wastewater services to the capital city of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. Established to manage the city’s water supply and sanitation infrastructure, the AAWSA plays a critical role in ensuring access to clean drinking water and proper sewage disposal for millions of residents. The authority oversees the operation and maintenance of the city’s water distribution network, wastewater treatment plants, and related infrastructure. It also focuses on expanding its services to meet the growing demand due to urbanization, while addressing challenges such as water scarcity, pollution, and the need for sustainable management of water resources. The AAWSA is central to improving public health, promoting sanitation, and supporting the city’s development goals.

Position 1: Accountant

Qualifications & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree or a college diploma in Accounting is required. No prior experience needed if holding a Bachelor’s degree, but 2 years of relevant experience is required if holding a college diploma.
Salary: 10,022

Position 2: Loan Specialist

Qualifications & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in Accounting with 2 years of experience in accounting. Additionally, 4 years of relevant experience in accounting is required, as well as at least 1 year of experience in microfinance institutions.
Salary: 11,602, plus telephone and transportation allowances.


Position 3: Head of Administration and Finance Department

Qualifications & Experience: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting is required, with at least 2 years of experience in accounting, 4 years of professional experience in the accounting field, and a minimum of 1 year of experience in microfinance institutions.
Salary: 16,512, plus telephone and transportation allowances.

Position 4: Manager

Required Skills & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in management or business administration, with 4 years of experience in management or business administration, and a total of 6 years of professional experience in the management field.
Salary: 20,005, plus telephone and transportation allowances.
