Position 1: Senior Electrician

1. Job Purpose
To ensure reliable operation and minimal downtime of electrical systems, machines, and automation controls across all
manufacturing units by performing preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Execute maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical systems in power distribution, control panels, MCCs, PLCs, and VFDs.
- Perform electrical maintenance on production equipment: soap lines, spray dryers, personal care filling lines, and food mixers/extruders.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and commissioning of new equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, PLC logic drawings, and circuit layouts.
- Maintain all safety standards while working on high-voltage, motor control, and automation systems.
- Prepare daily maintenance reports and update checklists.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for energy saving and machine efficiency.
- Work with instrumentation and SCADA/HMI systems under the guidance of the electrical lead.
- Diploma or Level IV Certificate and above in Electrical Technology or Electromechanics.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods).
- Hands-on experience with PLCs (Siemens, Delta, or Mitsubishi), VFDs, relay logic, sensors, and instrumentation.
Good understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance systems.

Position 2: Electrical Team Leader
Job Title: Electrical Team Leader

Reporting to: E&I Maintenance Division Head

1. Job Purpose
Lead and coordinate the electrical maintenance team across soap, detergent, personal care, and food
production unites, ensuring uninterrupted electrical service, process efficiency, safety compliance, and
continuous improvement in automation systems.
2. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical team in preventive and corrective maintenance of all electrical and automation systems.
- Supervise installation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial machinery and utility systems (compressors, HVAC, lighting, etc.).
- Coordinate electrical support for process automation projects and improvement plans.
- Monitor and maintain PLC logic, HMI/SCADA systems, sensors, and instrument calibrations.
- Ensure proper documentation of electrical drawings, load schedules, and power distribution systems.
- Liaise with other departments (production, safety, quality) to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities.
- Manage energy usage and propose energy-saving initiatives.
- Train and develop electricians to improve skills and operational readiness.
- Ensure adherence to EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards during all electrical works.
- BSc Degree or Advanced Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Industrial Automation.
- 7+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong experience in PLC (Siemens, Delta, Allen Bradley), automation control, industrial power systems, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent leadership, planning, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with national electrical standards and safety codes.

Position 3: Senior Cybersecurity Officer
- Job Summary
The Senior Cybersecurity Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the enterprise security architecture to protect East African Lion Brands Manufacturing S.C.’s information systems and data assets. This role involves developing security strategies, responding to incidents, managing risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Main Duties and Responsibilities
Security Operations & Monitoring
- Lead the daily operations of cybersecurity tools (e.g., firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS).
- Oversee log analysis, threat hunting, and vulnerability scanning.
- Monitor and respond to cybersecurity incidents using tools like Zabbix and Veeam.
Risk Management
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments across IT infrastructure.
- Implement and manage risk mitigation plans and ensure business continuity planning, including the hot site.
Security Architecture & Implementation
- Design secure network, application, and system architectures.
- Lead the implementation of security solutions such as Cisco Firepower 2110, endpoint protection, and secure VLAN segmentation.
- Collaborate on secure configuration and management of Hyper-V virtual environments.
Policy, Governance & Compliance
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with local and international cybersecurity standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST).
- Conduct audits and prepare compliance reports.
Incident Response & Recovery
- Develop, test, and maintain incident response plans and disaster recovery strategies.
- Lead investigation and forensic analysis of security breaches.
- Coordinate with law enforcement or regulators in case of major incidents.
Security Awareness & Training
- Conduct training sessions for employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Promote a security-first culture across the organization.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare regular reports on system performance and incidents.
- Document troubleshooting processes and solutions for future reference.
User Support and Training:
- Provide technical support to end-users, resolving IT-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions for users on new applications and systems.
- Develop user guides and documentation for reference.
Team Collaboration and Leadership:
- Mentor and guide junior network and application support staff.
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure seamless operations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall IT strategy.
- BSC degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure and protocols.
- Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting business applications.
- Experience with network security and data protection measures.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Technical Skills:
- Next Generation Firewalls (Cisco Firepower)
- Windows Server and Active Directory and SIEM
- Backup, Recovery Solutions (e.g., Veeam) and Virtualization (Hyper-V)
- Deep knowledge of network protocols, encryption, authentication, and secure coding.
- Familiarity with VLAN design, firewall rule optimization, and endpoint security.
- Experience in managing or auditing high-availability setups and disaster recovery sites.
- Certifications:
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are strongly preferred.
- Other Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
