PROGRAM COORDINATOR (for definite period of time two years)
The Program Coordinator reports to the Program Management Office Director and shall be responsible for coordinating the day to day details of the work, which entails ownership of the project schedule, risk matrix, project governance structure, communication plan and evaluate project progress for both internal as well as external reporting.
- BA/BSC/MA/MSC degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Software Development or related fields of study.
- 8/6 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in process/systems improvement.
- Strong organizational skill who thrives in fast paced environments and excels at communicating and collaborating across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to maintain high quality professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders, keen attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skill amid ambiguity and leadership skill.
- Adaptability to changing conditions, ability to work under pressure & self-motivated
- Excellent interpersonal, strong communication and analytical skills.
- Must have good command of both spoken and written English.

Program Finance Director (for definite period of time two years)
EthSwitch wants to hire a consultant for a definite period of 2 years with the following objectives:
- Ensure that the financial management arrangements of the projects provide assurance that the funds of the project are used for intended purposes and that the financial management arrangements continue to be adequate. This will contribute to the success of the project as a whole.
- Serve as an internal advisor to the CCSO for investment-related decisions that include developing pricing models for the new products as they achieve go-live, so that EthSwitch catches the market and attains the intended target
Specific tasks/activities
- The Program Finance Director role
The consultant will be responsible for supporting the effective day-to-day financial management of the project. This includes overseeing, organizing, directing, controlling, coordinating, and supervising the entire activities of accounting, budgets, and fund utilization aspects of the project.
The key responsibilities include:
- Ensure financial compliance with AfDB and BMGF rules and procedures, and provide financial oversight for project activities
- Work closely with the management team and Portfolio Management team to ensure grants, contracts, and payments are managed, monitored, and reported on appropriately;
- Produce timely and accurate financial information and reports, including project progress reports, annual budgets, variance reports, and cash flow projections to Development Partners and EthSwitch Management
- Support the Portfolio Management Office to provide financial oversight for effective coordination and collaboration across all Lots of the projects.
- Prepare presentations and performance reports for higher management regarding fund utilization, financial projections, revisions, forecasting, and variance analysis against the standards
- Ensure accurate reports are submitted on a timely basis to Development Partners. The financial information in the reports reconciles to EthSwitch’s books of records, links to project activities, and is compliant with donor regulations.
- Ensure vendor invoices are paid timely and that cash flow forecasting for the projects supported is accurate.
- Conduct accurate data analysis and offer advice to senior management for the successful operation and execution of the project.
- Support and facilitate the year-end audit process, including providing supporting documentation and schedules.
2. Advisory role
The consultant will be a focal person for any pricing exercise in the company and support the investment decisions of the CEO and the Executive Management Team
- Advise on investment activities and provide strategic analysis and recommendations on any investment initiatives that the company plans to take
- Develop pricing models for the new products
- Coordinate with other departments to develop the company’s financial strategy plan
- ACCA and MSc /BA degree in Accounting and Finance
- At least 10 years of working experience in management consulting, audit, and accounting
- At least 2 years of working experience in the areas of internationally financed development programs
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Peachtree Accounting software.
- Good Command of English speaking and writing
- Familiarity with the African Development Bank and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation projects and ability to use the African Development Bank’s online financial and disbursement application systems is an advantage.
