Position 1: Sales and Marketing Manager

Moyee Coffee Roasting Plc is the first multinational coffee roasting company based in Ethiopia and a pioneer in FairChain coffee. As a fully integrated company—from crop to cup—we handle everything from growing to roasting coffee locally. We export premium roasted coffee to international markets and supply top-tier hotels and leading supermarkets across Ethiopia.
Position Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Manager will lead Moyee Coffee’s sales and marketing efforts across all business lines, including Moyee Roasting, Coffee Farms, Moyee Cafés, and retail channels. This dual-role position requires a strategic thinker and hands-on executor who can drive revenue growth, build a strong brand presence, and expand market share both locally and internationally. The ideal candidate combines commercial acumen with creative marketing expertise to deliver sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy & Management:
- Develop and execute robust sales strategies for B2B and B2C channels (local and export).
- Manage relationships with key accounts including hotels, supermarkets, corporate buyers, and international distributors.
- Set sales targets and KPIs for team members, track performance, and provide regular reporting.
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships to expand market presence.
- Collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure order fulfillment and client satisfaction.
2. Strategic Marketing Leadership:
- Develop integrated marketing strategies that align with sales goals and overall company objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Strengthen brand positioning by promoting Moyee’s FairChain model and value proposition.
- Lead campaign planning and execution across all platforms.
3. Digital Marketing & Social Media:
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and e-commerce strategies.
- Manage social media accounts with a focus on engagement, content quality, and brand consistency.
- Monitor analytics to refine targeting and maximize ROI.
4. Traditional Marketing & Media Relations:
- Design and implement offline marketing initiatives, including TV, radio, print, and outdoor media.
- Maintain relationships with media outlets and manage public relations activities.
- Optimize advertising spend through performance analysis and market feedback.
5. Customer Engagement & Satisfaction:
- Collaborate with the customer service team to enhance the customer journey.
- Implement loyalty programs and feedback loops to increase retention and satisfaction.
- Use insights from customer data to tailor marketing and sales initiatives.
6. Brand Activation & Events:
- Organize and lead brand activations such as trade fairs, product launches, in-store tastings, and community events.
- Build strategic partnerships and sponsorships to elevate brand visibility.
7. Content Creation & Design Oversight:
- Supervise the creation of marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Oversee development of written and visual content for campaigns, websites, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with in-house or freelance graphic designers, copywriters, and content creators.
8. Budget & Team Leadership:
- Manage sales and marketing budgets to maximize returns on investment.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a cross-functional team of sales reps, marketers, and support staff.
- Foster a performance-driven and innovative team culture.
Education:
– Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
– Master’s degree (MBA/MA) in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
Experience:
– 10 years of work experience for BA holders / 8 years for MA or MBA holders.
– Proven experience in leading marketing teams, preferably in the coffee, FMCG, retail, or hospitality industries.
– Hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, event planning, and brand management.
Technical Skills:
– Strong expertise in digital marketing (SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, Google Analytics).
– Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and content management platforms.
– Knowledge of graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and other content creation tools.
– Experience in market research, data analysis, and performance tracking.

Position Summary:
The Senior Sales Specialist will be responsible for expanding our market presence by increasing revenue from key clients and actively seeking out new business opportunities. You will manage relationships with key accounts implementing strategies to secure new clients and grow our Sales footprint. The role requires significant coffee sales experience and a deep understanding of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute strategies to increase revenue from key accounts and acquire new clients.
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, conducting regular visits to understand their needs and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to maximize profitability while meeting client expectations.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute tailored sales promotions and product launch initiatives.
- Provide accurate revenue forecasts and sales reports, analyzing data to adjust strategies and meet targets.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to capitalize on new sales opportunities.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure high-quality products are delivered on time.
- Address client concerns promptly and professionally to maintain strong, long-term relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of coffee sales experience, with a strong record of increasing revenue and acquiring new clients is mandatory.
- Deep knowledge of the coffee industry, including trends, competitors, and product insights.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and develop revenue growth strategies.
