Position1: Human Resource and Recruitment, Management
Employee Position Summary
Human Resource Officer will be responsible for: managing the recruitment and selections process, for managing the employment contracts which includes proper record keeping, updating staff information including payroll data on a monthly basis and assisting in all HR tasks in the department.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Maintains staff personal files (which should include all the required documents as per the staff file checklist).
- Work closely with HR Manager and assist on the process of registration and notification of staff with Pension Agency.
- Identify vacant position, and organize assessment methods and involve in recruitment and selection process with related department members and produce all the required reports.
- Ensures that all new hired staffs Inductions is scheduled and conducted with the relevant department.
- Assists the management of employees grievance based on the ebs Television Ethiopia PLC manual and Ethiopian Labour law.
- Follow up and ensure that all staff files are with updated and signed JDs, and also staff performance appraisals are done in a timely manner.
- Maintains and updates leave records for all staff and ensures monthly leave report is updated.
- Manages staff exit process which includes managing clearance, final payment, work certificate, etc.
- Arranging written exam and interview date with the concerned department unit.
- Summarizing the written exam and interview result and inform to the selected candidate
- Follow up of employee attendance
- Produce periodic reports on the assigned area.
- Performs any other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Business management or HRM.
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience
- Ability to produce and communicate clear reports as required.
- Excellent team working skills as well as the ability to apply own initiative.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Commitment to the media sector.

Position2: Legal Advisor and Program Review
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review program content, the Legal frame, cultural and moral, aspect of the public at large and also the company’s interest followed by a report to the head of the station.
- Provide legal advice and suggestions to production and news team regarding contents.
- Check the content of advertisements and their supporting documents and also provide legal advice, depending on each case. Furthermore, come up with possible recommendations to make the advertisement ready for broadcast.
- Supports the Legal Department with workload; including drafting letters, editing contracts conducting legal analysis and researching legal matters.
- Drafting and reviewing different kinds of contracts, internal rules, regulations, and any other documents at district level.
- Advising the organization on employment, risk management, legal matters and any other areas that require intervention.
- Managing legal issues and report to immediate supervisor
- Collaborate with HR teams to develop and execute HR strategies that align with the organizations overall goals and objectives
- Stay up-to-date with laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure the company’s compliance with all relevant legal requirements.
- Formulating formalities regarding settlements of disputes.
- Monitoring the implementation of the legal clauses.
- Support the legal department in handling employment related litigation and disputes.
- Supports the Legal Department with workload; including drafting letters, editing contracts and other assigned tasks.
- Also performs related duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in LLB.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the law field.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well with in a team and individually.
- Ability to work long hours when needed.
- Excellent computer skills on MS office
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Team player
- Critical thinker and problem solving
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines, with great attention to detail
