The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE)
The National Electoral Board of Ethiopia (NEBE) is an autonomous institution established in line with Article 102 of the Constitution of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. Since its inception, the Board has opened branch offices at both federal and regional levels, including the two chartered cities. NEBE has successfully conducted five national elections, two local elections, and six referenda.
Position 1: Junior Graphics Design Specialist I
Location: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Media, or a closely related discipline with no work experience required, OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
Required Training:
- Certification or formal training in Graphic Design.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Solid understanding of layout, color theory, and typography.
- Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant tools.
- Creative thinking and an artistic mindset.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Must not be affiliated with any political party.

Position 2: Mechanic
Location: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in vehicle repair and maintenance, preferably in a structured environment.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical systems in vehicles.
- Hands-on experience with modern diagnostic equipment.
- Sound knowledge of preventive maintenance strategies.
- Must not be a member of any political party.
Behavioral Competencies:
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- Team-oriented and dependable
Position 3: Human Resources and Administration Specialist
Location: NEBE Headquarters, Addis Ababa
Educational Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related areas with a minimum of 5 years of experience, OR
- A Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with at least 7 years of relevant experience.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service capabilities.
- High attention to detail and precision.
- Effective at resolving issues and making decisions.
- Must not be affiliated with a political party.
Behavioral Competencies:
- Flexible and adaptive to change
- A team player with strong collaboration skills
- Skilled in conflict resolution and analytical thinking
- Able to perform well under pressure
